When I was studying business finance during my MBA course at FAAP in 2007, I became very interested in this subject and then I studied it even more. I became aware of the importance of financial analysis and money management for companies. So I asked myself: “Well, if this subject of managing money, which is important to companies, is so taught, why don't they also teach about managing their own money? After all, what's the point of being a great steward of other people's money if you don't know how to manage your own money or your family budget?

I had these questions in my head and the idea came to me to write a book about managing your own money and the family budget.

During 2 years I researched a lot about the subject, gathering leaflets, reports, newspaper articles, researches and quotes; I also pondered experiences from my own life.

I present hitherto little-publicized guidelines and propose a plan for families and individuals to take good care of the money they earn; knowing how to spend it, how to pay off debts and how to prepare for difficult and even unexpected economic times such as job loss and financial crisis.
